Melissa and I are reviewing some oddball documentaries that we have chosen to watch jointly then discuss. Once we are satisfied with our audio work in the Soundtrap studio, we will make it live for Spotify. I will then launch it onto YouTube as well. Here is a sample of the upcoming documentaries that we are going to review:

Voyeur– A 2017 Netflix documentary that was directed by Myles Kane & Josh Koury, and produced by Impact Partners. This documentary reviews Gay Talese who investigates Gerald Foos- a Colorado motel owner who spies on his guest. We anticipate that this will be an interesting review.

Rocco– A 2016 Netflix documentary that was directed by Alban Teurial & Thierry Demaiziere. The production company is Two to Tangle Productions- a rather interesting name. This documentary follows Rocco Siffredi as he shifts from a priest (his mother’s request) to a porn star. Rocco has become to porn what Mike Tyson is to boxing; a living legend. This was a French release so I am sure it will be culturally enlightening and all around interesting to review.

Hot Girls Wanted– A 2015 Netflix documentary that was directed by Jill Bauer & Ronna Gradus. This documentary follows the lifestyle of five of young female amateur porn stars in Florida, U.S.A. We are certain that this will be as enlightening as Lot Lizard was for truck stop transactions across America.

The Fear of 13– A 2015 Netflix documentary that was directed by David Sington. This documentary follows a convicted death row inmate, for the past 20 years, who is petitioning the court to ask for his execution. As he tells his story, it gradually becomes clear that nothing is quite what it seems.

After a lot of research and investigating, I figured out how to finally get onto Spotify -as of last night February 8th!! Hello everyone!

Melissa and I just created our very first Verbally Disastrous podcast episode on Spotify and YouTube.  You can use the title and search for our podcast channel and listen for FREE on Spotify!  If you prefer, we will load our episodes to YouTube as well.  For the first episode, we watched the Amazon Prime Video documentary entitled, “Lot Lizard”.  The 2016 documentary, directed by Alexander Perlman, showcases the lives of three prostitutes throughout truck stops in the United States. 

We welcome other documentary or movie ideas and feedback on our episodes.

For Season 1, Episode 1 of the Verbally Disastrous podcast, Melissa and I are going to discuss our review of the documentary entitled, “Lot Lizards“. Lot Lizard is available on Amazon Prime Video. This documentary is directed by Alexander Perlman. We have been trying to learn how to use the audio equipment over the past weekend. We are using Soundtrap for our studio recordings. One must ask, what the hell is a Lot Lizard?

According to the Urban Dictionary, the slang phrase lot lizard means the following: prostitutes that frequent truck stops. Of course this phrase is a derogatory nickname for a woman who gets paid to have sex with truck drivers. According to the documentary, there are about 3 million truck drivers and roughly 5,000 truck stops that litter the entire United States. Each truck stop is laden with both men and women looking to get paid for sex from truck drivers that spend long hours away from their family while on the road. I used to hear guys at work talk about “glory holes” being at truck stops. It didn’t surprise me that this way of life exists for men on the road. Melissa and I find this way of life to not be surprising and a dysfunctional niche within our society. Then again, not much of this is shocking as a New Yorker. In any event, I shall share as soon as the podcast episode is available via Spotify and YouTube. It will also be made available via Soundtrap.

hello everyone!

I am in the process of studying for my NYC Site Safety Manager exam. I have released a few videos where I am reviewing building code and practice test questions. I know it is not very fun for a person not interested in the subject matter. I plan on going into the safety niche with videos that are a little more amusing in nature. Additionally, I have been releasing a series of short funny videos with my sons doing various activities together.

I opted to start a video series with my sons. They are both very funny, creative, and adventurous souls. My eldest Tom is a young adult and works as an apprentice electrician like his mom. My youngest Johnny is a sophomore in high school. Johnny is much more outgoing and willing to do crazy antics than his brother. Tom is the more reserved one as he has gotten older. I typically jump right into the middle of them to get in on fun activities. I prefer to be behind the camera. With my debut on the podcast & new YouTube channel, I will have to learn how to get used to the front of the camera- at some point. Hello everyone!

As you know, I am just launching the Verbally Disastrous podcast on Spotify.  I have been promoting #ConstructionTales since it’s release in 2013.  However, I did not promote my YouTube channel at the time- a regret of mine.  Therefore, I am starting from the bottom on the YouTube social media platform.  I plan to host and upload my first podcast episode with co-host Melissa by next weekend.  I am in need of your help and support.  If you can hunt down my YouTube channel and click the subscribe button, I will search for your page and return the subscription. I have a goal of 2 million subscribers within the next 5 years.  Here is a screenshot of my YouTube channel:

I keep asking for input on future topics for the podcast.  If you have any suggestions, please let me know on the variety of platforms.  If you would like to be a guest, let me know that as well.  I will try to work and arrange a collaboration on my channel.  My podcast content will be a wide variety of random topics.  However, the viewpoint comes from two self sufficient, strong, and  independent career women.  I am sure our angle will be unique since I am a journeywoman electrician by trade and Melissa is in the medical field.  We have walked our career path and not merely speaking about it.  We both would like to think we are NOT feminists.  However, others may disagree with that thought.  It is still up for debate.  The goal of your content is to provide humor, inspire, and possibly teach within the realms of expertise.  Again, we thank you for stopping by to review our content.
