Hello Everyone!
How are you spending your time on your Friday evening that is the last day of 2021!? However you plan to spend your evening, I hope you are safe, happy, and healthy for the Year 2022. I’m sad to have learned that Ms. Betty White has passed away today a few weeks shy of her 100th birthday. I’m disappointed for her that she didn’t achieve that amazing milestone. However, she is no longer in pain and will be forever young. I decided to pull some more questions from Quora so that we can review and discuss. This chosen topic is about, “the psychological saying that “asking a favour from someone makes him or her to develop attachment for you over time”. I believe this topic speaks about a smaller portion of the global population. It hinges on the personality and the culture of where the person belongs within a society. I believe we are submerged in a global society of people who feel entitled for others to do for them. If a person feels entitled, how are they going to form any style of attachment to the person who does things them? I don’t personally understand how anyone thinks they are entitled to the actions of others. I’ve been in a world where I am used to doing for myself. If anyone does anything for me, I feel absolutely compelled to return the favor. I’m aware that I am not the only one on the planet and my way is not the only way. How do you feel about this subject matter? If your interpretation varies significantly different than mine, let me know. MY RESPONSE:
“In my personal experience, the only people who are impacted are people who are highly loyal people who impose zero expectations on others. When you live life under those conditions, you handle your own business and do not expect anything from anyone. If someone does something for you, it is of a high meaning and very valuable. Those people will feel indebted to the other person. It is considered to be somewhat of attachment where you feel like you need to pay back the favor when called upon to do so. On the other hand, if you expect stuff from others, via entitlement, you won’t feel compelled to return the favor since you expect it to come to you. I wish you luck only surrounding yourself with souls that match your energy and nature.”
