Advice: Meaning Of “Make It Big” & “I’m Sure”

Hello Everyone!

What’s happening on your side of the globe on this super sticky Tuesday afternoon?? I’m so looking forward to apple picking and pumpkin lattes my friend in the fall! The heat sure takes a toll on my body! I’m absolutely exhausted by the end of the day. How are you managing the temperatures in your weather?? Let me stop bitching about the weather and get into the content. 😛 Before I get into sharing my construction worker, custom crafted advice, I shall share with you the scheduled Amazon promotion for my first children’s book entitled, “Not All Girls Play With Dolls” that is available in e-book, paperback, and hardcover on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iTunes. From August 22nd to the 29th, the e-book will be available at a reduced price during the Kindle Countdown Deal. Additionally, my first adult e-book entitled, “Construction Tales: Volume I: A Woman’s Journey To Become An Electrician” will be also involved in the Kindle Countdown Deal from August 11th to the 18th in the U.S. and U.K. markets. Let me know what Amazon market that you are in and I will work on a promotion in your region once I’m eligible to do so? I’m back yet again with you to share another double dish of custom crafted Quora topics for today. Our first topic of discussion is on the meaning of the phrase, “make it big”. As a teenager, I was a HUGE fan of George Michael. Therefore, it was appropriate to use the Wham album cover for this topic photo. This topic is totally about personal perspectives. I’m aware that I have readers from all around the globe. This phrase can mean something totally different based upon where you are on the globe, your current life path status, and where you want to eventually go in life. For a homeless man, this could mean having consistent food in the stomach and a roof over your head. For the rich man, it could mean not having the same level of stress that their empire brings them. It is all about individual perspective. For my second question, the topic is on the meaning of the phrase, “I’m sure”. That phrase can be said sarcastically, passive aggressively, in a matter-of-fact manner, or just offering simple confirmation. I’m a huge fan of sarcasm. Therefore, it’s my favorite means of delivery. I can’t think of any other ways of approaching the phrase at this moment. If you want to, help me out with your suggestions. Feel free to share those two cents of yours down in comment section below. Keep reading even further on my blog topics down below:

POSED QUESTION #1:

“What is the meaning of “make it big”?”

By Naeimeh Tavakolinia

MY RESPONSE #1:

“To make it big, it could mean a variety of different things. Making it big could mean earning the benefits that come from the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Making it big could be on smaller scale such as landing a great job with benefits that dramatically improves your lifestyle. It could also mean achieving a milestone like finishing a book and getting that amazing book deal. It could even mean winning the lottery or even inheriting your uncle’s estate. For some people in the world, making it big could mean being able to provide a meal consistently for their family. Having a safe, warm place to sleep in the winter could mean that the person is making it big. Therefore, the meaning is a matter of personal perspective. This perspective is based upon personal life experiences. No matter where you climb to earn that extra piece of life, always remember where you came from. It helps you maintain that sense of gratitude for what you have traveled. May you find balance in life and/or make it big along your life path. #ConstructionTales #VerballyDisastrous #NotAllGirlsPlayWithDolls”

POSED QUESTION #2:

“What does it mean when somebody says “I’m sure”?”

By Michael Myers

THE RESPONSE #2:

“This response totally hinges on the back story behind the confirmation. When delivered in a sarcastic manner, it can be said when you truly don’t believe the validity of the claim. However, you are saying “I’m sure” in a way that lets the listener know that you really do not believe the story. When said in a hurry or out of boredom, it can be said just to get past the conversation and move onto other tasks. During these moments, the answer is not super critical. Saying, “I’m sure” is just another form of confirmation that you heard what the speaker has said or you agree to the position that the speaker is telling you. You can also just say, “yes” in that situation. In a different scenario, “I’m sure” can be a form of confirming what you have witnessed to another person. You are merely offering validation to the person asking the question. May you not be on the receiving end of sarcasm unless you totally want it (yes, that can totally happen). 😛 #ConstructionTales #VerballyDisastrous #NotAllGirlsPlayWithDolls”

I recently shared my latest short story that has been loaded up to my Construction Tales-Told By A Woman Kindle Vella Library on Amazon. This is short story #11 entitled, “Juggling Motherhood & Working With The Tools”. This short story covers my life as a widowed, single mother in the era when I juggled both motherhood and my career as a journeywoman electrician. I share the various challenges I faced and lessons learned along the way. The previous short story is entitled: #10: “Early Life Lessons & Characters To Meet As An Apprentice”. I decided to write about some life lessons such as guarding your personal information, managing nasty rumors, combating sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and racism. Overall, the construction culture has improved dramatically over the past 25-years. Developing both a thick skin and a sharp tongue are key tools needed to survive various jobsite antics. I hope you learn something from this short story. There are more to come. These short stories are now also available as Verbally Disastrous podcast episodes.
