Hello Everyone!

If you observe, I hope you all had a great holiday weekend? The extra day is always helpful if the goal is to do work around the house. For many years, I used the extra day to work on my projects. I felt like grilling or throwing a party was a waste of time. As I have gotten older, I value the time I get to spend time with my sons. I rented a room down in lower Manhattan and we walked around South Street Seaport to check out the night life. My son Johnny was “cutting a rug” and dancing with random people in one location. We walked to the pier and checked out fireworks that were south of the Brooklyn Bridge. We then found another outdoor party venue and danced with more people. It was a good evening and I am glad we carved time to hang out down there. Now that I am not on the daily grind with small children, I have much more time to do my projects. I don’t have to wait until a holiday to find time for my project. How are you enjoying your summer so far? I can’t believe that we are 1/3 of the way through summer already! Make the best of the rest of your summer! Here is a question, found on Quora, that asks for advice on navigating around a stranger’s gaze. Here is the posed question and my advice below.

POSED QUESTION:

“Although we are both wearing mask I knew he smirked. His eyes and brows lit up with his smile. Almost like he’s trying to convey a message. What does this mean? We didn’t say a word but he gave me a deep stare. This isn’t our first encounter.”

MY RESPONSE:

“How long does that deep stare last? How does the deep stare make you feel? If the stare makes you uncomfortable, try your best to avoid future encounters with this man. Tell your friends about this encounter. Write the experience and his physical details in a journal. Take the man’s photo from a safe distance and share with your friends. If he is aware that you have a photo of him, he may be more inclined to not try anything further. On the other hand, if his gaze makes you feel comfortable, still do all of the above as if he creeps you out. During the next encounter, work to make small talk with the man. Smile at the man and ask a simple closed-ended question. This question will require a simple response such as yes or no or a simple response. If the man is interested, he will attempt to continue the conversation. Ask about the weather, dogs or cats, food, sports, hobbies, etc. Go with what makes you feel comfortable to chat idly about it. You give the man an opportunity to keep up the conversation or keep it moving. If he doesn’t take the bait, then smile, say good-bye, and keep it moving. I wish you much luck on getting what you want in life”.

Hello Everyone!

I found another interesting question on Quora to create an answer. I believe my brand of humor would be considered cheeky. I picked up the humor quickly as an apprentice electrician. My son Tom has followed me into the business. He has also picked up on the humor as well. I had no idea that there was a movie, released back in 2000, entitled, “Cheeky”. I found the movie when I went hunting for a snarky photo on the topic. It’s a cheeky photo on the subject of being cheeky. How cheeky!! Here is the posed question and my response below. “Well, the term cheeky is a British term. I have heard the term used, on occasion, by fellow New Yorkers. It is boldly rude or disrespectful phrase that is used in a playful or appealing way. Having a dirty sense of humor is being cheeky. My brand of humor is definitely considered to be cheeky. My Verbally Disastrous podcast and YouTube channel is the poster child for the phrase. As a construction worker for over +25-years, you learn how to be cheeky on the jobsite. If you don’t learn to be quick witted, you will get eaten alive on the job. Hello Everyone!

I stumbled upon this question on Quora. I giggle and cringe whenever I see the term “clinger”. This term is synonymous with other terms such as: “batshit crazy”, “psycho”, “controlling”, “obsessed”, or “privacy invader”. Dealing with a “Stage 5 Clinger” {you can thank the movie “Wedding Crashers” for that term} definitely restricts a person’s freedom or hopes of doing anything solo ever again. I am convinced that clingers are never happy and constantly miserable souls. Is it possible that the label is slapped on women way too much? I sure as hell have learned that men can be clingers too!! Men who want to control what you wear, where you go, who you socialize with, and what you do are also clingers. Go ahead and try to change my mind. I would imagine that anyone who fears commitment would call a person trying to lock them down in a relationship a clinger. I envision a clinger who basically does EVERYTHING with their partner. If you attempt to try to do anything solo, the clinger will mope around and be super annoying with their emotions and behavior. The clinger might as well live with their partner since they spend so much time together anyway. I’m sure that in the beginning, it is flattering to have a clinger for a partner. After all, this person cannot get enough of you. They are selfless in nature, very dedicated to you, and willing to invest tremendous blocks of time getting to know you. Over time, the flattery fades and the need to do things solo becomes stronger and stronger. A clinger would sure hate me as a partner. I would most certainly make a clinger absolutely miserable!

I remember, many years ago, when my ex put a tracking device feature on my phone. I felt like this was an ultra clinger move. We had a family cell phone plan and he took it upon himself to randomly add it. It made zero sense as to why he was doing it. I have never had to step out on anyone in my life. I will face the person and end the relationship like a strong woman before doing any kind of nonsense like that. I was seething with anger upon discovery of this via a welcome text from my cell phone provider. I asked him to remove it since I am an adult and not a child that needs to be monitored. I felt like he was trying to control me. He opted to keep it on despite my irritation with the concept. So, I went into ultra, super bitch mode. I remember being perplexed with his decision to add this to the phone. I approached my work crew at coffee about the burning issue. As soon as I mentioned this dilemma, my crew burst out laughing. They collectively said, “when do you have time to do anything else!?” At the time, I was getting up at 3AM for work, working overtime, teaching 1 night a week at a college, at night school earning my masters in business, weekend home improvement projects, and managing a household with two energetic sons. I fell asleep, at times, in my college classes. I was way too tapped with my life to add sneaking in another dude. One co-worker said, “a guilty hand points the finger”. Well my friends, that’s another story… Despite being tired, I opted to drive him crazy with randomly driving different places after work. I walk in from work and he yelled, “where were you??” I told him to go check his tracker!! After a few more random trips, he dropped the tracking feature off my phone. The moral to the story: I don’t take too kindly to clingers!!

“There are a few reasons as to why a person comes off as clingy and that is interpreted as annoying. I am a rather independent chick in a relationship so I don’t go with the clingy vibe. I give plenty of space in a relationship to let them do as they wish and I expect the same. I would be annoyed with a guy if he was clingy. Sorry to say but it’s not endearing at all. There is a reason for everything. You may have grown up in a childhood where your parents showered you with hugs and kisses. On the other hand, your key childhood or former relationships were not steady or may even ghosted you. That kind of trauma can deeply impact you via developing insecurities. Now as an adult, you tend to smother him out of fear of losing him. Over time, those worst fears will manifest where you push him away. Let the man go out with his buddies for wings and beer. There are plenty of beautiful women that walk the Earth. He chose you for a reason. Hounding the man will not keep him from doing something that he wants to do. You can’t control his behavior. You can only control your reaction. Don’t react until a situation comes to pass. In the meantime, life your best life. If your hobbies evolve around your partner, then you need to discover new hobbies that are independent from him. It’s obvious that your love language doesn’t match your partner’s. Always try to put yourself in his shoes. For a person who is not accustomed to that style of affection, it can be perceived as clingy. The received attention can feel very overwhelming for people who grew up in cold environments where cascades of affection were not demonstrated. Hopefully, your partner was somewhat kind when he verbalized his overwhelmed emotions. Take the issue seriously. I understand his frustration about being smothered. The good thing is that you are aware of your behavior and how it is impacting him. Armed with this knowledge, you can work to scale back your avalanche of affection and give the man some space. Keep in mind that there are billions of men that walk the Earth. He is not the only man you can develop a relationship with in life. Work to step back from the relationship and give your man some breathing room. If you keep putting tremendous pressure on him, he will run for the hills eventually. If you can, you need to see a therapist and figure out how to dial back your need to cling. If that is not an option, then work each week to give the man a day where you are not occupying his time. Don’t text him late at night checking up on him, don’t get moody when he doesn’t give you enough attention, and don’t manipulate the situation via withholding sex. Work on being the best version of yourself. If it is not good enough and he bounces, just continue to work on yourself. The next many who crosses your path may LOVE the attention. I sincerely wish you luck on finding that balance in your relationship”.

Hello Everyone!

Somehow, during my many shameless moments of either promoting the #VerballyDisastrous Podcast or surfing for foolery on Twitter, I stumbled upon @YetiYeff and we became fast friends. This friendship came because, “Twitter told us so.” Jeff brought his village of people to the daily laughs as well; which is totally appreciated! In the spirit of being fast friends and communicating regularly, why not check out Jeff, Reed, Luke, and other special guests in a podcast entitled, “8750”? Once I decided to drop my first podcast episode, it made sense to look for other podcast hosts. My goal was to dive into the pool of fellow podcasters and to engage within the community. As a podcast community, I figured we could work together and help each other out. I am a fan of supporting each other’s work and cross promoting along with learning something new while giving guidance to others who ask. Just like myself, many podcast hosts are out here hustling the internet, like a $10 whore, in the quest to crank out captivating content and earn an audience along the way. For this blog post, I will offer some highlights from sampled episodes of the “8750” podcast. I shall share the good, the bad, the ugly, and what I’d like to see more of from the guys in the future.

I REALLY like that the crew over at “8750″ share in my brand of humor!! Well…at least Jeff does. 😛 As of now, I have not really interacted much with Reed and Luke as much. Based upon the podcast episodes I checked out, Reed and Luke are not social butterflies at all. This is a stark contrast compared to their “Tasmanian devil” Twitter star- aka co-host Jeff. 🙂 Besides being anti-social, I am sure that it takes time to warm up to my brand of humor. I am aware that it is not for everyone either. I have picked up my dirty sense of humor from years of working alongside my co-workers in the field as a NY electrician in construction. Even within the current #MeToo climate, I do not intend to change. I like my humor dirty and like to see the look of utter surprise on a person’s face. In my +25-years as a construction worker, I have never (nor will I) filed a sexual harassment claim against anyone. If anything, that “out of pocket” dude would get a stick of conduit to the back of the skull and/or get roughed up (not in a good way) in an electrical closet. He would then pipe down and get back to work. For the record, I have never had anyone cross the line to that level either. It also helps being built like a brick shit house. I have been rarely challenged in my career and have only crossed paths with a few ass hats in my career. My goal of “being one of the guys” had been accomplished in my career. That’s comforting since I have moved on to management now. Life is short so let’s have some laughs on the way towards our future dirt nap.

These regular exchanges of humor, on Twitter and other forms of social media, help make the day go by faster and smoother. Not that I am trying to accelerate my “pruning” process. I just like to add a spark to make mundane tasks more tolerable. I open up my social media to peep when I am standing in line, waiting for an elevator, enjoying my lunch, on the train, or any other breaks in the action. I put on podcasts when I go for my evening strolls. I have been trying to peep at the different podcasts of people I connect with on social media. As of late, it appears that Twitter has been my spot for interacting. I appreciate that Jeff virtually knighted me as the #PeeperOfPods on Twitter. My response photo is down below:

MY REVIEW:

This podcast is not for the underage listener. It is highly advised to grow a mustache and some armpit hair first before coming back to peep this grown folks discussion. These are adult conversations where sensitive or politically correct types of folks should exit stage left. I got a kick out of the “dirty old man” narrating the intro of the episodes. However, I did have to play detective, within the first 2-3 minutes of the podcast, trying to match a name to each voice. “8750” would be better served having each person quickly introduce each other. I instantly got a kick out of Jeff’s laugh. The vibe between the guys was entertaining. One feels immersed with them, say during a coffee break session, where we listen in on them talking about whatever is on top of the mind at that moment. I am joyous to learn that one of hosts was conceived in the bathroom stall at an Applebee’s restaurant. I also learned that Jerry Springer served as mayor of Cincinnati for one year back in 1977. Upon digging further on my own, I learned that Mr. Springer got pinched for soliciting a prostitute back in 1974. His honesty, about his actions with the woman of the night, lead to his “road to redemption.” This paved his political path as mayor for one whole year.

As soon as I heard the white couch reference in one of the sampled episodes, The Chappelle Show reference came to mind. I envisioned Rick James as an absolute hot mess with muddy boots digging his heels into a white couch sayin, “fuck yo couch”! One thing I learned, while listening, is that the title of the podcast episode doesn’t not totally apply as the episode’s theme. Episode titles are merely some stories that stuck out as funny in the episode. I’m not mad at that. I just know that I have to go on an “Easter egg hunt” for each episode to find out the root story for the title. I see several attempts to stick to the topic. I like the advice that nobody asked for-questions that come from people who write questions on Reddit. I happen to grab questions from Quora and do that for the blog posts here and podcast as well. I appreciate, at the end of Episode #21, the drunken redneck Glen dishing about his utter distain to be placed on social media, his love for whores, while crying about his date who ghosted him. It inspired me to come up with a tag line and submit to be added to the end of your podcast episode. My favorite episode that I sampled was nuggets of content that came from Episode #17. The topic of masturbation “popped” up that made me laugh out loud!! One of the craziest “feeding the ducks” {Yes guys, go ahead and use and give credit} memory involved, “a sleeve with gel/liquid that was a tube; that was my first love”. I heard that while walking in my neighborhood and I laughed a little too damn loud!! It felt like it was immediately followed by, “dirty is half the fun. What do you mean?” The Episode #17 discussion reminded me of the many nasty, super funny trash talk sessions at work over the years in construction.

I am rather intrigued, with a dash of creeped out, by some weirdo who opted to “romance” the leg of a chair behind closed doors. I can just imagine having to explain that emergency room visit! The group discussed all of the horrors, readily on display, that grace the many pages of the internet. Disturbing events, such as “The Pain Olympics”, or absolute savagery that was filmed, such as during a prison break. There are many gory events, filmed by a guy with an iron stomach, that were captured on film and shared with billions of people throughout the globe. The new content that is on the internet appears to make the “Faces of Death” video series likened to child’s play. Reed proceeds to save the day, via changing gears, about a story on buyer’s remorse. He laments on a memory about getting duped with his photo purchase during a trip to Manhattan. The gang take turns sharing their buyer’s remorse stories and their idea of a perfect date. My third sample I perused was Episode #8: Is Your Wood Good? In case you didn’t read the title properly, the title enticed me. I wanted to see if the content rose to the occasion. I was humored by the disgust in Jeff’s voice about his “aunt Kevin” who gave little Jeff an avalanche of useless plastic Happy Meal toys, a girl’s backpack, knit beanies, and bird seeds glued as a heart for Christmas. Auntie Kev was ahead of her time. She was prepping you for a future closet emersion? If you ever do, come to New York and I would be happy to go clubbing and shopping with ya!! The other guys chimed on saving and passing the useless gifts down to other family members as heirlooms. The story on the heroin addicted gypsies living in the streets of New Orleans was entertaining as well. The title of Episode #8 came from an unlikely story and not what I expected at all.

In summary, you are going to hear a wide variety of topics and stories within each episode. The gang has a sense of humor that I appreciate. The content is for grown folks and not for young people or sensitive ears. Topics fly back and forth just as fast as seagull droppings. The guys appear to be from the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, U.S.A. I wanted to ask them if hobbies in Colorado include: smoking weed, roping in mountain goats, while wearing yellow rubber boots? I got quite a few laughs while listening. I look forward to future episodes and possibly a collaboration. No, I don’t use Zoom for my collaborations. I use Soundtrap and dial in my guests over my Samsung 20. I heard you mention it on an episode. I want to imagine over the phone what you are wearing. Here is a sample of one of my collaborations I have done before (below this conclusion summary). We spoke about Childhood Memories with Kyle & House from On Da Block Radio. I let the guys pick the topic. I fired questions over the fence and tried my best to stay on topic. I am awaiting word on the details of the “8750” website and other forms of social media. Hello Everyone!

I found another interesting question on Quora to where I offered some advice since it was specfically requested for me give my thoughts. As a mother of two young men, I want to see them find the best partner that they can possibly find. They are both smart, young men who have good hearts and are very capable of being excellent fathers some day. I want them to find their passions, be happy, and live out life to the fullest. I don’t like the thought of either of them going out of their way to lure in a young woman. That relationship will always be lop sided with them having to keep the girl interested. The other end of the spectrum is not good either. A relationship should just flow naturally, peacefully, and progress to higher levels easily. No side should have to convince the other to love them or stick around. With my young men in mind, I try to offer the best guidance as possible. Here is the question and my response below. MY RESPONSE:

“You make a woman “crazy” for you by being the best version of yourself. This is advice I would offer to my two sons. Once your paths cross, you will recognize that spark of chemistry between you two. There will be a strong, mutual desire to want to spend as much time together as possible. You need to strike a balance to where you give as much as your receive in a relationship. Be realistic with your expectations. Just remember that not every woman that you are attracted to will also be attracted to you. Always remind yourself of your own worth. Do not continue pursuing a relationship, no matter how attractive she is, if you are doing all of the work in a relationship. Don’t allow a young lady to blind you with her beauty while you accept her cold heart and/or bad behavior. If she displays a pattern of selfish behavior, push the eject button ASAP. Those patterns of behavior can lead to a miserable life in the future. One good way to get closer to a young woman is through showing her your future vision as a family man with words and actions. At some point, a woman will want to start a family. Proper planning for this phase in life is vital. Children are very expensive to raise. Hopefully, she has already earned her education and has saved up some money for the down time that’s required when you give birth. Therefore, doing your part and being able to support the family is crucial. Being thoughtful and taking care of things without being asked is a great quality to possess. Hopefully, there will be an even exchange of acts of kindness that are both given and returned. If you find that special someone, don’t let them go. Once you get past the love birds phase, relationships take work so be willing to endure the highs and lows together. If there are too many red flags that you can’t ignore, don’t be afraid to cut your losses. Too many young men are blinded by the beauty of a young woman. They allow poor behavior to drag on for far too long. Unless the person wants to change, those red flags don’t just go away. On the other hand, if you see that this young lady checks all of the boxes, don’t drag your feel. Make sure you make her your wife or girlfriend as soon as possible. Life passes quickly so don’t pass up a good chance to create your family with an amazing partner. I wish you luck on your journey to finding that young lady you don’t mind to go the distance for in life”.

Hello Everyone!

I found a couple more videos, shot over the weekend, while ripping up glued down carpet with a machine in my co-host Melissa’s basement. We are installing laminate flooring very shortly. I intend on doing a tutorial video and launching it on YouTube and letting you know on this blog. My dog Daisy was put on the bed to keep her out of harm’s way. She decided to jump off the bed and run around under foot. Meanwhile, she is terrified of the vacuum cleaner and hides. Her running under foot was frustrating since I was worried about her getting hurt. For anyone new, my Daisy girl is a 10-year old senior, female, black/white colored, Jack Russell dog. She is loved by friends and family alike and has been around since she was a pup. I post quite a few videos with her on my Verbally Disastrous YouTube channel. Therefore, she is involved in my carpet stripping videos as well. My co-host and best friend Melissa is my pal in the video seen ripping up the carpet into strips and lifting sections while I use the machine to tear them off the floor. FYI- I added the sub-titles for my friends who reside outside of the U.S. where English is not the primary language. I know my older videos have don’t have subtitles. I thank you for stopping by my little world to either read and/or listen to my “work of art”. We are getting even closer to the upcoming holiday weekend (here in the U.S.). For my peeps that are not in the U.S., this upcoming weekend is the 4th Of July- a federal holiday. This holiday is observed throughout the United States and is also known as Independence Day. This historic holiday marks the anniversary of the Second Continental Congress adopting the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The Congress, made up of delegates from the United States’ original 13 colonies, unanimously approved the document that declared independence from Great Britain.

Here are two interesting facts around this historic and monumental moment in time during the “birth” of the United States:

1.) The Continental Congress didn’t vote for independence on just July 4. Twelve of the 13 colonies had approved a resolution calling for independence on July 2, 1776.

2.) Many of the original signers didn’t ink their names on the Declaration of Independence until Aug. 2, 1776.

Before you say anything further, I am going to check on some other countries, from around the world, who also celebrate their independance from another country. Yes, the world does not evolve around my country. I know!! 😛 In all seriousness, these moments give me an opportunity to learn about other nations. I value these moments to learn more facts about the rest of the globe. I don’t have the time and energy to look up every nation in the world. Therefore, I shall cherry pick a sample of nations from around the world. Obviously, I welcome your input from your country that you respresent.

Some liberated countries include the following:

1.) Baharain broke free from the clutches of the British Monarchy on August 15, 1971.
2.) Korea celebrates National Liberation Day ever since August 15, 1945. Three years later, they split into North and South Korea. The Koreans were occupied by Japanese forces. These Japanese forces were defeated by an alliance effort between Korean, U.S., and Soviet militaries.
3.) India successfully broke away from the United Kingdom to gain independence as of August 15, 1947.
4.) The Republic of Congo gained it’s freedom from France ever since August 15, 1960.
5.) European nation, known as Lichtenstein (between Austria and Switzerland), achieved their freedom from Germany on August 15, 1866.
6.) Bolivia throws a 2-day party to celebrate their independance, ever since August 6, 1825, from Spanish and Peruvian control.

Have you used this carpet stripping machine before? Shout out to people skilled in carpet removal and installation. I give you props and much respect. I would not want to do that every day for a living. Then again, I no longer have my 20-year old back. Getting old sucks!!! My back pain from the weekend carpet stripping is starting to subside. I have to use muscle relaxers to loosen up those lower back muscles over time. As stated a million times previously, I appreciate your feedback, comments, and suggestions to improve my content. Hello Everyone!

I had forgotten that I had originally started this tidbit of advice, on Quora, and it was sitting idle in the draft section. Well, it is high time to pull out this writing, edit it, and get it shoved right out to Quora-land! I try to only respond to questions specifically requested for me to respond. However, I am not above offering unsolicited advice. People either take it or leave it. I will try to answer a question even if I think the author is messing around with me. Regardless, I try to tackle it in a serious manner. You never know if someone is really struggling with a choice and my viewpoint helps them make a proper decision. This question is asking if mirroring another person’s behavior is intended to make the other person feel comfortable? The short answer is NO!! I see nothing comforting or helpful about manipulating a situation in order to get another soul to drop their guard and become open for the other person’s bidding. This type of a scamming human should be eliminated from the planet via being thrown into an active volcano! I’m dead ass serious about it!! I have done some reading on these folks in an effort to understand them and properly avoid them the next time around. They all have appeared to have suffered some form of trauma as a young person. Therefore, they pass on the trauma to any person that crosses their paths. The cycle then continues when they taint each person along their life path. If there was a way to stop these kinds of toxic people, I would love to see them all stopped in their tracks. Here is the posed question and my amateur input. Mind you, I am not a college educated “shrink” at all. I merely offer my logical thought process that is based upon my encounters with these types of people in my 45-years on this Earth. MY RESPONSE:

“They: a) just happen to share the same similar traits as yourself b) are working hard to mimic your behavior to showcase similarities in an effort to draw you in. Once you are drawn in, they can manipulate you further. They only “like you” because you serve as a benefit for them. Nothing more, nothing less. Before you know it, you are paying their car note or doing tasks that they don’t want to do. Even worse, you could marry and divorce this person and end up paying them child support or alimony for years! I certainly hope, for your sake, that they just happen to share some common behaviors and are a great fit with you for a relationship. It is absolutely terrible to get caught up in the web of lies that are shot out from a narcissist. I have dealt with that breed of human, over the years, in different capacities. Sadly, they bring nothing but games, drama, and manipulation to a relationship. In a romantic capacity, the love bombing comes in the very beginning. They appear to the the calmest, kindest, most generous, and funniest person alive. It feels too good to be true. If you go as much as 3–5 years without a single argument or problem, it very well may be a red flag. The systematic, emotional abuse and constant feeling of not being “good enough” follows once they believe that they are “in” your life. If anything happens they are displeased with, they will do evil, sneaky things behind your back or withhold the bedroom action for years, if they have to, in order to get what they want out of you. Sadly you initially believed that you meant a lot to the person. Once you are locked under the person’s claws, you see the real person. Later on, you realize you are just a human that is there to do their bidding. The scariest part is the realization that what you thought they were is all a big, fat lie. You then realize that the person you lie next to night after night is a total stranger! Any one who purposely tries to mirror your behavior is not doing it to make you comfortable. On the surface for a split second, I’m sure it is flattering to have someone go out of their way to make themselves appear to be a “perfect match” for you. Once you get past that, it is not cute or endearing. That person is just manipulating you to get what they want. You may or may not benefit from this relationship. Usually you lose big time with this type of person. I can think of no scenario where mirroring behavior is comforting. Mirroring is just all around creepy and manipulative. I sincerely hope you can escape the clutches of anyone trying to remotely mimic your behavior and then ruin your life. I wish for you nothing but a healthy, loving relationship. Leave those toxic people behind. Success is the best revenge! I wish you luck!”

I checked out questions specifically requested for my reply on Quora. This question was on how to navigate the silent treatment. Who doesn’t like the silent treatment? I prefer that any day to the “verbal Olympics” of a shouting match. I am humored with the possibility that these questions are meant as a joke. It is even funnier if it is a legit question. Nonetheless, here is my take on this question posed on Quora:

“What does it mean if everyone goes out of their way to ignore you? “

“If everyone goes out of their way to ignore you, they are passive aggressively trying to let you know that they are not accepting some form of your behavior. Whether it be your words or something you did. If a group of people simultaneously join in all together to give the silent treatment, you must be doing something wrong. Either that or they are all an over sensitive group. I would personally enjoy the silence and carry on as usual. To me, the silent treatment can be rewarding. 😛 There are a few solutions: 1) ride it out until people get tired of being quiet 2) ask for a meeting to come to a resolution 3) remove yourself from the group 4) attempt to modify or stop your behavior Whatever your choice is, I wish you much luck”.

I thank you for stopping by my little world to either read and/or listen to my “work of art”. Did you have a good weekend? Are you looking forward to the upcoming holiday weekend (if here in the U.S.)? For my peeps not in the U.S., this upcoming weekend is the 4th Of July. It is a Federal holiday that came as a result of the original colonies gaining their independence from England. Perhaps we can drill down into the history of that holiday closer to the upcoming weekend. As I mentioned before, I helped my friend to rip up carpet with a machine this past weekend. Those carpet removal videos are in a prior post. Prior to doing the work, we hit a diner and got to record an argument in the diner while we are eating. We made the best and poked fun at a bad situation. We also went to a Housatonic brewery and had a few drinks while watching the band named “Junk”. I have posted videos, from the weekend, on previous posts as well. I still have residual back pain from the weekend activities. As stated a million times previously, I appreciate feedback, comments, and suggestions. I wish you a peaceful evening on your side of the world. You are appreciated and I hope you get a laugh or two our of my tall tales and detailed observations. Hello Everyone!

I am sharing my very first attempt at doing a tutorial. I used Wonder Share Filmora Video Software to create the video. I have never ever created a video with a bunch of clips before. My goal is to practice and get better at working on the tutorials. That is, if there is an interest in the content. I avoid going to the car dealership if I can avoid it. The prices for parts are high at a dealership. Therefore, I first tried buying the wiper assembly at a parts store and online at Rock Auto with no luck. The replacement rear wiper blade assembly was purchased on Amazon: HODEE Rear Wiper Arm Blade Nut Set Replacement for Honda CR-V 2017-2019, Rear Wiper Cover Accessories Assembly, Wiper Cap Set For Back Windshield Window- via the Hodee Store. The part came quickly in the mail and was relatively easy to assemble. I popped the housing on the end of the wiper assembly, used channel locks to remove nut, remove entire old assembly, hook main assembly to the middle of the blade, put up new assembly over the nut on glass, gently tighten, and place housing over the nut. Once installed, slide the yellow cover off the blade and the job is done!

Both Melissa and I are very handy and we both work on a variety of different tasks. I renovated an entire house and did most of the work myself over a time period of 20 years. Melissa just bought another house and we have started doing projects on her house as well. As various items break down, we will buy the parts and install them ourselves. Perhaps we can inspire others to take a stab at doing their own installation. If there is an interest in these types of videos, I am willing to do more of them. It helps to have my own collection of tools as a +25-year journeywoman electrician. A friend suggested for me to try to showcase my various projects. Yes, I was in the middle of installing the wiper blade and the thunderstorms came on me suddenly. I was hurrying and trying to do the tutorial quick. In the process, my tongue got tied. I will try to do better moving forward. Here it is so let me know what you think!

Hello Everyone!

Melissa and I ripped up some carpet, that was heavily glued down, in her basement over the weekend. This is at Melissa’s house. We went to rent a carpet stripper over the weekend at Home Depot. I even placed some videos in the Spotlight section on Snapchat. The machine sure felt heavier than 132 lbs. when we were loading and unloading into the truck! You need to put some ass into the machine to propel it forward. If you weigh the same amount as the machine, you will struggle with moving it forward. It is these moments where I don’t mind being built like a brick shit house. The best method we found was for Melissa to cut the carpet with a knife into strips. While I was pushing the machine, she was pulling up the strips of carpet. The “just pushing” method would have made the project go much slower. The glue on the floor made it a challenge as well. I kept losing my shoe in the glue. For the record, I have a brand new tattoo on my right foot. Therefore, I have to wear flip flops for about 2-3 weeks. It is summer time so that is not a big deal. We worked on a 25 ft. x 25 ft. section of carpet in the basement. It took us about 7-8 hours to finish removing the carpet. We smashed that task, got some food, took showers, swallowed some muscle relaxers, and went to sleep. Getting old is rough! Towards the end of the task, it was rough finishing! We didn’t have much in the energy tank at the end. I am sure it would not have been cheap to pay a team to do the work! We got the machine back to Home Depot before the 24-hr time frame. We will do a video, that is more in depth, on installing the laminate flor that space the following weekend. Melissa and I should get onto a Home Improvement channel in the future. From my first house, I learned how to do a bunch of projects solo. I have to finish stripping paint and put up some new paint my other location.
