Hello Everyone!

Melissa and I were sitting down to eat some breakfast at a local diner in Danbury, CT over the past weekend. While in the process of walking towards the table, we felt some eyes on us at a nearby table. I ignored it and go on to ordering my food. We kept hearing some arguing and some nasty comments at the same table. Before we know it, we hear even louder arguing. The videos do not do the situation justice. These women were yelling and screaming very loudly. It appeared that the group was mad about the older woman dropping napkins at their table. The woman felt disrespected. It was at this point where I decided to record the screaming, while in the middle of eating my steak and eggs, in video #1. By video #2, they were up from the booth and screaming loudly while walking away. It was almost like they were yelling in sync in a parade going out the door at the door. We finished eating and went out the door. By this point, the matriarch of the group had called a police officer and they were exchanging in the parking lot when we left. Hello Everyone!

I have a few requests for me to respond to some questions on Quora. I kind of chuckle whenever I hear the term “gold digger”. I don’t know why I laugh at it or people caught up in the web. It is like bathroom humor. I have no idea why it is funny. It is just funny. I used to think that gold diggers won’t impact me as a female. However, I have dealt with a male gold digger back in the day. I tend to be a generous person so I don’t mind pitching in on paying for things. However, it got to where the guy would put grocery items in the cart not intended for us to share. It was a long distance relationship so I was not popping up at his house to eat the food during the week day. Who knows if he was using the groceries I bought to feed a side chick during the week. I finally put my foot down and stopped the nonsense and walked away. He would have taken advantage of me forever if I had continued to allow it. The funny thing is, after a year of no contact, he reaches to to try to continue a friendship. I am cordial and don’t like to make enemies with my exes. I would never go back to that relationship if you paid me. Here is my advice on how to spot a gold digger. Let me know if you see anything missing and what you would add?

The signs of a gold digger…hhmm…

1. She wants to know what you do for a living?
2. She is profiling you by asking questions geared towards figuring out what you can afford and can’t afford
3. She will reveal all of the things she has, famous people she knows
4. She keeps up with the Joneses religiously
5. Her sense of entitlement is super high
6. She is always in some form of financial crisis-asks for cash
7. She does absolutely nothing for you!
8. You do everything for her!
9. She expects to be treated like a princess
10. Some aspect of who you are benefits her tremendously
11. She knows that you come from a family with financial means
12. You have made her aware that you can “take care of her”
13. She asks prying questions about your finances
14. She will reject gifts that come from the heart since they have no value to her
15. She leverages sex to get what she wants from you
16. She never pays ever!!
17. She starts fights and accept gifts as an apology
18. She doesn’t show an interest in you- your favorite color, food, likes/dislikes
19. She is not a good listener
20. She lives an extravagant lifestyle and not into saving any money
21. Quality time with you is not a priority. She would rather be with her friends
22. She has no ambition for a career or no goals
23. She won’t get attached to you at all since you are temporary
24. Her friends are also gold diggers- check out the company she keeps
25. She is absolutely obsessed with status in society and showing off her status
26. Her romantic interests are more and more wealthy. This is called hypergamy or “monkey branching”
27. She is out of your league. Meaning, if you were poor, she would not give you the time of day
28. She will check out the people on social media thinking she deserves to live that life
29. She dresses as if she is already rich
30. She is on her absolute BEST behavior

I sure hope that you never run into a woman, or a man no less, with the qualities above. After initially getting an ego boost when finding a good looking woman, that feeling won’t last. Being with a person because of your finances is not the best life. When you get older and your health declines, your gold digger will not be by your side. Find your best life and be happy. Good people will come when the universe thinks you are ready. I wish you good luck!

In this episode, I share my experiences in a work crew installing cameras at the local Westchester County jail. This jail is located in the suburbs roughly 30-minutes north of New York City. I share the antics of my fellow co-workers, the inmates, and the correctional officers tasked with the job to protect us and maintain order in jail. As shared earlier, I also just released podcast Episode #22: The Importance Of Fatherhood After Divorce. This podcast episode was based upon a Tedx Talk that was presented by Reno, Nevada family law attorney Marilyn York. Ms. York, along with nine other female attorneys, exclusively represent over 650 fathers in family court. The choice to represent only fathers, for the past 20 years, stems from the fact that fathers are crucial for the child development. Additionally, fathers are considered the disadvantaged parent in family court. I offer the lessons Ms. York learned as an attorney as well as my thoughts on the subject matter. Hello Everyone!

Now that I returned from my trip out to Nashville, Tennessee, I finished editing podcast Episode #22: The Importance Of Fatherhood After Divorce. It just so happens that Father’s Day was observed last week here in the United States. Can anyone tell me if this day is observed in other countries? I am humored by the single mothers who look for recognition on Father’s Day. I say it to my eldest son each year. For this year, my son said, “Happy Hybrid Day”- a blend of both Mother’s & Father’s Day. 😛 Therefore, I shall dedicate this episode to great fathers everywhere. I was a daddy’s girl as a kid. Therefore, I recognize the importance of a father in a child’s life. I learned many lessons from my dad that I didn’t learn from my mom. On the contrary, my mom taught me things that my dad was not equipped to handle. As an adult, I recognize the importance of a father in my son’s lives. My eldest lost his father in a motorcycle accident when he was 18-months old. I believe wholeheartedly that this loss deeply impacted my son’s life in more ways than I am aware. I feel sorry for any child that is denied access to their father- for ANY REASON! This episode is now on YouTube and released to all podcast platforms. Kindly give it some time to officially launch on the podcast platform of your choice. I am working on releasing Episode #23: The Time I Worked In Jail as soon as I finish editing it. As always, I will share it when I have it released. I worked in the local Westchester County Jail for about six months almost a decade ago. This jail is roughly 30 minutes north of New York City in the suburbs of Valhalla. There was no short supply of foolery while working in the jail with our work crews. Hello Everyone!

After a two year hiatus, I decided to get back on the horse again and move forward with the illustration process of my children’s book. The absolute best website out there to collaborate with people, from all around the globe, for various types of work at reasonable prices is Fiverr!! I was previously trying to do the work privately and that project got dropped hard and fell on it’s head. I really wish I had known about and used Fiverr previously. All transactions go through the website so you have an electronic paper trail. Each person, either buyer or seller, gets a review on the website for each transaction. Based upon reviews, you can figure out if you want to work with the person or not. Obviously, your goal is to get the best reviews possible. I am a relatively new member on Fiverr. I had first used the website to create my podcast logo. Later on, I used a sound engineer to clean up some podcast episodes. There are also writers, filmmakers, sound engineers, editors, singers, narrators, and so much more to choose from on the website- depending on your project. I am working with a female Russian illustrator by the name of Anastasia Taranenko, she is listed as Tad_Art on the website, to create illustrations for my first children’s book entitled, “Not All Girls Play With Dolls”. Here are the first few sketches that I recently approved to move forward and complete the book. It will be available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Audible upon final completion. In the meantime, I will periodically promote Anastasia’s work to help both of us. Check the sketches out:

I am hoping to use the original illustrations and blend in Anastasia’s illustrations as well. However, I am mentally prepared to scrap the old illustrations and start fresh. I am deeply disappointed that my original illustrator, out of Indonesia, bagged out on me and abandoned the project for the past two years. I had reached out to him to ask to resume work on the project. Sadly, I had received to feedback. I know he mentioned he had health issues between himself and his family. With this in mind, I wish him and his family nothing but the best. It is just painful that I have an incomplete project and wasted money on illustrations. Therefore, it is time to move forward in a different direction and keep pressing until complete. For the record, Anastasia has been very responsive and willing to add my key details while creating her own vision of the design concept. Despite being relatively new herself, I am willing to put my trust in her to get the project completed. I appreciate her patience with me since I tend to get busy and forget to look online for comments for blocks of time. I will share some of her work, on my social media platforms, as the project progresses and give Anastasia credit where it is due. I will even add her name and Fiverr name to my hashtag collection to help her out (check out below). There is great power in those hashtags!! One hand washes the other in this business. Hello Everyone!

As you know, I have been off the grid for the past week. I averaged about 3-6 hours of sleep a night while away. Therefore, blogging was not on my dating card much less my vacation schedule. I joined some friends and went to Nashville, Tennessee for our very first time. For anyone not aware, Nashville is the mecca, within the United States, for country music and opportunities to make it big within the recording industry. I first anticipated it to be a town with a few bars in it and some country music inspired attractions. Meanwhile, I left the airport, checked into the hotel, cleaned up, and headed into downtown Nashville on the first night. I was surprised to see quite a few high rise buildings!! I counted at least 25 cranes in use from the drive in the suburbs to downtown Nashville!! The amount of construction in Nashville is amazing and absolutely booming!! I didn’t get to Broadway until night two and that was another nice surprise. For about three blocks, there were bars blasting live music on both sides of the streets. My expectations of a sea of rednecks with cowboy hats and boots did come to fruition. However, there were all walks of life on the streets of Nashville- including a sizable homeless population. The army of live bands trying to get noticed within the mecca for country music was staggering. The Grand Ole Opry compound- equipped with a resort, waterpark, shopping, bars and restaurants, and a huge convention center was quite impressive as well!! I had fun with my friends each night of the week! I am back home and actually miss the place and look forward to returning in the future. Mind you, I am not a huge fan of country music. However, I enjoyed the great energy and lively establishments that pumped out music on every night of the week. As an avid people watcher, this city did not disappoint me. At any given time, there were bum brawls, an alcohol related emergency, tractors pulling drunks, some drunken birthday boy, a girl from a bachelorette party on the side vomiting, people making bad decisions, and much more foolery. The most crowded place and the most fun night was at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. We hit that bar on a Thursday night. Our luck hooked us up with seats right next to the band. We got to watch obsessed fans of the band and music act like drunken fools! I honestly thought one old woman was going to flash the band. To enhance the experience, men were buying me drinks. One was getting a lil handsy so I had to slap some hands every so often. We were getting our drink on and high fiving patrons while talking smack with just about anyone who was game. 😛 We were even approached, for some reason by a stranger, to walk a super drunk fellow New Yorker back to her hotel room. Her friends abandoned her and were in the hotel room when we arrived. WTF!!!! You don’t leave your friend solo in a bar!! Apparently, she was getting groped by men (cue my face palm). While walking her to the hotel, she told us she got arrested in Paris for acting the fool. We quickly left her at the hotel and went hunting for a diner. We are used to 24-hour spots being open after a night of drinking. The only game in town was a halal truck on Broadway by 2:30AM when the bars close down. We ate the shit out of our gyros- Llmmmaaaooo!!! By the time the weekend came, the street was shut down so that all people could walk the blocks of bars aimlessly without fear of getting hit by a car. My friend chose a hotel that was in a nice neighborhood yet was 30-minutes away from the action. The good thing was a my buddy George didn’t drink so he was the designated driver for most of the week. If that wasn’t the case, I was prepared to Uber each night to the action. I believe that the noise from Broadway was way louder than Times Square in Manhattan- New York City. I loaded almost 50 short videos on our adventures, by day or by night, onto my Verbally Disastrous YouTube Channel. My favorite video captured was a guy walking around in a bar while wearing chaps with no pants or underwear much less shorts. In lieu of any clothing, he had the American flag painted onto his ass cheeks. Here is the video of that foolery on YouTube:

We witnessed a middle aged man fall out of his stool and knock himself out on Friday. He was flat out and needed to be carried out by paramedics. The band still played on- I am not surprised. By Saturday afternoon, I expected some of my family members to drive in to join me and my friends. My cousin Kristina and husband Michael live in Ohio. I learned that they were 5-7 hours away during a random conversation prior to the trip. I was happy that they agreed to come down and join me with my friends. They took the trek to Nashville to spend Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning. We broke bread and had a great breakfast before they got on the road. Although I speak with him on Facebook, I met Michael in person for the very first time. I am pleased to discover another drinking buddy. After all, a girl can never have too many drinking buddies. 😛 I introduced him to Screwball peanut butter whiskey and cranberry that he found to be very delicious yet dangerous- too easy to get a DWI. We saw angry drunks, people selling cannabis and their ass on the street, women who decided to slingshot their bras onto the stage, men rubbing their asses on my knees, dance requests, and tons of sweaty rednecks with matching cowboy boots and hats to rub elbows with in the bars. There was a NASCAR race nearby that added to the traffic on Broadway. I had one attractive man rubbing his ass on my knees with his girlfriend nearby. Here I was thinking that this jerk was going to get me into a fist fight with his old lady!! Now that would have been a total buzz kill! Luckily, she sees him for what he is and brushed it off. For every weird and screwed up person, there was a very friendly fellow patron that was willing to exchange in idle chit chat or even offer a slice of pizza. On Saturday night, The Corey Farley Band was on the stage in a bar for a four hour set. His humor and antics between songs made the night very enjoyable. I was humored that the lead singer opted to randomly sit on a stool next to us while singing the 80’s classic song entitled, Footloose. I made sure to capture the moment with a humorous selfie video. My friends have made the decision to sell their home, by spring of next year, and buy their retirement home within the suburbs of Nashville, TN. I am thinking about entertaining an investment property myself. I would need to find a rental manager and figure out exactly where to buy. We are lucky to have a real estate agent who is a friend of my traveling buddies. Doug Allen, a real estate agent from Keller Williams, had given us a tour of about a dozen homes. He is going to connect me with a property manager that runs a tight ship with property rentals. Here is his contact information:

I want my investment property to be away from downtown Nashville but not too far away. I reviewed towns that were between 15-30 minutes away. I think 15-minutes away is the sweet spot. It is fun to go in and check out the foolery yet far enough away to get a restful sleep afterwards. This area is very appealing since it has nice property options, plenty of tourist attraction, mild winters, hot summers, super low taxes, plenty of stores to shop, and safely away from hurricane season. It is indeed a great location to retire since they don’t tax your pension to death either. Having good friends down in Nashville helps to periodically keep an eye on my investment is alluring as well. I would be lying if I said it didn’t cross my mind about dropping life in New York City for a calmer life in Nashville. I would most certainly be trying to drag my sons with me as well. However, I feel the need to finish my career here in New York City. For now, I shall remain a tourist and learn about the history of Nashville. We checked out the Ryman Auditorium, it was previously an old church, as it was the 5th location for the Grand Ole Opry back in 1943. Here I thought it was the 1st location. The first Grand Old Opry was started, by George D. Hay back in 1925, as a 1-hour “barn dance” on the legendary AM radio station WSM. This broadcast is the longest running in the history of the United States. Since 1974, the Grand Ole Opry show has been broadcasted from the current location that is east of downtown Nashville.

Overall, I learned a lot of history, tried out as many bars and restaurants as possible, listened to quite a few live bands, bonded with locals and tourists alike, checked out some real estate, bought some t-shirts for my peeps, and averaged between 4-7 miles of walking per day. Although it was totally expected, I am frustrated that I gained about 7 lbs during my trip. I am now fasting to get it off of me. Right now, it is just as hot and humid in Tennessee as it is in New York. The bars were packed with people with limited air conditioning. Therefore, we sweated a lot each day and night of our stay. I had brought a few sweaters and only wore one to sleep at night while I had the tundra settings on my hotel room thermostat. I flirted with a few fellas and was even propositioned for sex. Sadly, my friends are such cock blockers- just kidding!!! Although tempting, I feel like I am too old for that brand of random foolery. My girlfriend, her husband, and I all bonded and made some great memories via our various experiences. I sure as hell look forward to future adventures with my pals. My bestiee and podcast co-host Melissa had to stay home since she had to work. She has to come out on the next trip. I recommend checking out Nashville even if you are not a country music fan. This city sure is the spot for wild bachelorette and birthday parties!! We saw so many women strutting around on the streets with veils attached to their heads. It was reported, by the band, that a 21-year old was not let into the bar until she came of age by midnight. She got to go on stage and dance with the band. The various party vehicles, including a bar with pedals for propelling the structure, were rampant as well. There was even a hot tub on wheels available for partying- go figure! I wanted to get in on one of those party venues on wheels and tie one on with my friends. It looks like just as much fun as any Las Vegas party activities minus the extreme heat. I’m sure if I get a place there, my sister would actually come and visit me. 😛

I have placed many travel photos on my various social media platforms as well as the short video clips of our different adventures. I even got a foot tattoo, courtesy of Morgan from Nashville Ink, on the day before leaving town. My gf got a pendent with her two son’s birth stones on the back of her neck along with a nose piercing. Her hubby got “Truckin, Liftin, & Lovin” on his forearm. Yes, it was a challenge to get through the tattoo process on my foot. The needle hit quite a few nerves that made my foot react. It was the worst towards the end of the job. I was screaming bloody murder in my head. I fantasized about doing a horse kick to the tattoo artist’s forehead a few times. However, I refrained myself from acting out on those savage thoughts. After all, I am the one who invited her to do the work. 🙂 The foot is indeed a tender spot to get ink. Morgan said that I handled the tattoo like a champ!! She said she would have tapped out. My hip kept locking up so I asked to quickly stretch a few times. My friends even joined me in the waiting area for the tattoo session. Here is a photo of my ink:

This trip has re-inspired my desire to go back out to doing more traveling. I am working on planning a trip with my sons to Japan, on a cruise, for August of 2022. I also want to explore more locations in the United States that are a mere car ride away. For awhile, I had frozen my travel plans because of work and the aftermath of the 2008 Recession. This whole Covid-19 global pandemic has pushed me out of the travel freeze. It has given me a different perspective on life as well. Life is short so make the most of it. My sons are much older so traveling is not so cumbersome. I thank you for reading my overview of my trip to Nashville, TN. Hello Everyone!

I found another question request that I guess came from a very young person. This question has a name. However, I cannot tell if it is male or female. I blame this on a female!! 😛 I would like to believe that it is a female that taps their foot waiting for their boyfriend to say “I love you”. Why pressure a person to drop that phrase? People should enjoy the moment and ride that high of endorphins for as long as possible. Instead of thinking there is something wrong, just relish in those random acts of kindness. One never knows if and when a snag in the road will happen. Therefore, just relax and enjoy the romantic ride for as long as possible. The constant release of endorphins during the initial stages of a relationship, especially with mutual chemistry, is better than any drug. Love is mighty powerful. It is the reason for wars, fist fights, movies, songs, good or bad habits, jail time, murder, etc. As much as some people say they don’t want it, they are lying. Everyone seeks to be loved. The only thing they don’t want is the bad experiences. This need prevails no matter how damaged they are from bad experiences. People who do not hear the proclamation fast enough, will question the entire relationship. Love is so powerful, it holds people in situations that are logically not good for them. Love will make a person commit homicide if another person invades their relationship. Each time a person experiences a cheating partner, this act totally wrecks the mind and spirit of a previously devoted lover. Despite wanting to hear those words for the first time, it is best to bask in the glow of a new relationship. Here is the posed question and my response as well.

MY RESPONSE:

It doesn’t mean anything bad. It is a tender moment that you shared. Don’t be in a hurry to pressure your boyfriend to say “I love you”. Let it flow and come out when the time is right. Do not over analyze the fact it has not yet be said. I’d rather have someone say it organically vs being pressured to express it. Then it is not real if said under pressure. I have no idea how long you have been dating. For some folks, it takes them months or year or more to find the right moment to confess their love for their partner. Kisses on the forehead is very sweet and endearing. It is such a sweet and tender thing to do to your partner. Again, don’t rush the next level. Enjoy the sweet and new phases of your relationship. Don’t look into things that are not there. There is no time frame for the “L” word. Just enjoy this part in life and relish in it. Live in the current moment and don’t try to over analyze it. That phase could end and the relationship can become hum drum. Over time, people may back off with those little moments of sweetness. You wasted those precious moments by not living in the now and enjoying the butterflies. Enjoy it now with no expectations and see where it goes. For your sake, I hope the kindness continues and you get affirmation of your boyfriend’s feelings for you. I most sincerely wish you luck and much happiness!

What do you think about the posed question? Do you also believe the young lady is getting ahead of herself? Do you go out of your mind when your lover drags their feet with the “L” word? I think there should be no pressure on that moment. It takes away from the moment by applying unnecessary pressure to a relationship. If you are in the early stages of a relationship, enjoy it for how long it lasts. Sad but true; those tender moments do not always last for the duration of a relationshp. If you get the benefits of years of lasting love, DON’T take it for granted. I wish everyone to get what they seek in life (within reason). I hope you are ready for the upcoming work week. Hello Everyone!

I have been working on my endurance for the past year. I used to run on the treadmill or roll on the elliptical when I was younger. Due to my back problems, I do miles of walking each day that takes time to accomplish. I just came in from working on walking 8.32 miles today and 6.39 miles yesterday. Sometimes, I listen to YouTube videos. Other times, I will answer questions that were requested by others on Quora while I am walking. Here is an interesting question to share here as well as my response below.

THE POSED QUESTION:

What does it mean “he just want to be friends and nothing more”?

MY RESPONSE:

I believe that when a love interest just wants to be friends, they don’t want to completely lose you. The person sees something in you worth salvaging as a friend. However, they keep searching for key qualities in a new partner. Apparently, they didn’t find those key qualities in you. Armed with this knowledge, you can either choose to be a friend or remove yourself entirely. It is possible that a person puts someone in the friend zone as Plan B. Then they go to pursue Plan A. If that doesn’t work out, they always have Plan B waiting to be chosen again. It is up to you to wait or find someone who will pick YOU as Plan A. I wish you luck!

Yes, I realize that not every time we go on a path to explore a relationship will work out. We are not going to be everyone’s cup of tea. I feel sorry for anyone who sticks around waiting to become the girlfriend/boyfriend of a person who put them in the friend zone. You must be realistic about the situation and be willing to move on. I can’t think of a single person who I would be willing to be their Plan B. Nor do I want a person to be my Plan B. What do you think about it when a person says that they want to just be friends and nothing more? I hope you chalk it up to just not working and ride off into the sunset. Do not think you can make anyone change their mind. It is not fair to you and them to not take the hint. It is a kind way of letting someone down easy. Yes, people do not deserve to be dropped on their heads for just not having the qualities you need. In this case, it is the kindest thing you can do to a person. I opted to discuss this Tedx Talk that I watched awhile ago on YouTube. Yes, my topics swing wildly from side to side. I do not like to look at only one angle ever. I am very open minded and willing to evolve with my thought process if it seems to be logical in nature. I reviewed a YouTube video entitled, “Meeting The Enemy” that was presented by filmmaker Cassie Jaye. She walked into a project with one line of thinking and walked out totally evolved.
